About Tara...

Tara Khaler is a New York based vocalist, known for her ability to sing in multiple styles, ranging from opera and musical theater to jazz and pop. She has sung at Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall, appeared in shows in New York and throughout the US, toured with swing orchestras, and performed around the world as a solo artist.

Tara Khaler was destined to be a performer since the age of 8 when she gathered all the kids in her neighborhood and staged a heart-wrenching production of the musical Annie in which she directed, choreographed, costumed and played 5 starring roles. The response from the local children and canines was overwhelming, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Tara moved to New York City after completing her Bachelor's in the exclusive Oklahoma City University's Musical Theater Department. Since moving to New York, Tara has sung around the world and throughout the United States including performances at Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall. A full-time vocalist in the city for over 10 years, Tara's credits include Camelot, Phantom, Man of La Mancha, Jekyll & Hyde, Aida, Singin' In The Rain, Will Roger's Follies, How to Succeed..., Sweet Charity, and 42nd Street.

Outside of musical theater, her passions include the music of the 1940's, and Tara has toured the United States multiple times as lead vocalist in a swing orchestra. As an operatic performer, she has graced the stage of City Center and Symphony Space in Manhattan. Tara is always delighted to perform music from the worlds of opera, broadway, jazz, and pop.
