SINGERSREBECCA ROBERTS
As a teenager, Rebecca, an accomplished flautist, had the honour of playing with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the late Roy Castle. At sixteen she was thrilled to play alongside her mother, Rebecca Storm, and John Barrowman, as 'Young Jenny' in the Irish tour of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Aspects of Love. At eighteen, Rebecca won a place at Leeds College of Music and developed her singing, piano, and song-writing skills. Since graduating, Rebecca has worked in many different areas of the music industry in a diverse range of roles. She has fronted her own Jazz Trio (with Jamil Sherrif) performing at various festivals around Britain, and supported artists such as Alexander O'Neil. She has worked as a backing vocalist and session singer for record labels Sony/BMG, Pussyfoot, and A&M, and loved singing with her Mum on the single, Why Worry, taken from the album I Wanna Know What Love Is, (Solid). Her TV appearances include RTE`s The Late Late Show, and various ITV shows. Rebecca's primary passion is her song writing. She has enjoyed performing her own original material at festivals and concerts, alongside extremely well known bands such as The Kaiser Chiefs, The Libertines and The Divine Comedy, and was thrilled when BMG records agreed to fund her first original recording. |
