SINGERSGWYN JAY ALLEN
Since being a finalist on "Stars In Their Eyes" in 1997 Gwyn Jay Allen has quickly become one of the top impersonators of Louis Armstrong. Gwyn Jay Allen's authentic vocal style, bubbly personality and colourful dance moves will dazzle any audience anywhere in the world. He covers a wide range of styles from Jazz to African, R&B to Latin. You will also enjoy his clever comedy touches and his soloing on various percussive instruments and on guitar. Before mastering the voice of Louis Armstrong, he became the latest addition to "The Sound Of The Platters" playing to sell-out audiences in top UK venues such as Caesars Palace and Carnegie Hall. He then went on to play Cab Calloway in the West End musical "The Blues Brothers". His growing love for Armstrong has inspired him to write the long awaited musical "Satchmo" with the help of Clarke Peters, the creator of the West End musicals "Five Guys Named Moe" and "Unforgettable". With the launch of the musical to follow shortly, all this energy and zest for Louis has been captured on his forth coming album " I Love Louis". Collaborating with Britain's Hottest Dance act "Basement Jaxx", Gwyn has released his R&B/Dance debut single "I Luv U Babe" with an album to follow shortly. Gwyn can be seen performing with his band weekly at the Dorchester Bar, The Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London. He has also performed at Claridge's and the Ritz Casino, both of which are in London as well. Listen:
