About Robert...
A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music, Robert came to prominence with Sheena Davis and American saxophonist Spike Robinson. Jazz Review described him as "a real gem of a player, with a rich dark sound…spot on the beat."
He has played alongside numerous jazz greats including John Dankworth, Jim Mullen & Mark Murphy as well as artists outside the jazz field including Kylie & Dannii Minogue, Westlife, the Fun Lovin' Criminals, Kim Criswell and Howard Blake. He performs at London's top jazz clubs including Ronnie Scott's, Soho's Pizza Express Jazz Club & the 606 and is currently resident bassist at the Ivy Club & Dorchester Hotel. Also active in education, he has been involved in workshops at Goldsmiths, Royal College of Music & Drum Tech and is the bass tutor at Tring Park School and Brunel University.
