EVELINA LJOEN

EVELINA LJOEN, versatile piano player/singer was born in the Ukraine in 1977. She has studied classical piano since she was 4 years old. She started to sing at the age of 16.

She graduated from the music college in Dnipropetrovs'k, Ukraine in 1996 and achieved a diploma with distinction as concert piano player, teacher and concertmaster. Since then she has worked in many restaurants and clubs in the Ukraine and Russia, performing different types of music in her own unique style.

In 1999, she started work aboard the cruise ships 'Clelia' and 'Ocean Breeze' for 2 years performing jazz, classical and pop music.

In 2002, she appeared at the 'L-First' club, Tokyo, presenting her own vocal show which also included costume characters and dance elements.

At present, she is based in Brighton, England and writes and arranges music as well as presenting musical evenings at one of the city's top restaurants, 'Havana'.

Evelina often performs with a backing band.
