SINGER-PIANISTS
CHRIS HAMILTON
Chris Hamilton began playing the piano at the age of four and after winning several national competitions, he won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, London. He has performed at venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, London, St David’s Hall, Cardiff and Blenheim Palace. Whilst studying at Oxford University, Chris developed a passion for musical theatre which took him to the Guildford School of Acting. Since leaving there three years ago, he has appeared in many shows including “Gypsy”, “Aspects of Love” and “The Yeoman of the Guard” at the Royal Opera House, London. Chris has also been invited to appear in a one man show about the life of Noel Coward which was specially written for him, and has appeared in a play about the war poets at the Imperial War Museum, London. Recently he has combined his two great loves, singing and playing the piano and has performed in cabaret all over the world from Bangkok to New York. He has won praise from all the major newspapers in England, the Daily Telegraph describing him as “an ace pianist”. Chris has just completed his first musical “Over the Threshold” and between performing on ships, he hopes to get it staged in London.
