ANTON KORITNI
At 24 years of age. ANTON KORITNI is one of the greatest
singer / songwriter / instrumentalists ever to have come out of Australia.
He is from a musical family with a soul / blues / rock background and grew
up surrounded by some of Australia's most successful artists. Anton is at
home on stage, having made his first public appearance at eight years of
age. He is now a seasoned performer with hundreds of gigs under his belt.
Drawing on his diverse and extensive experience in many genres, Anton has
developed a style which is deeply unique yet easily accessible to everyone.
His vocals are crammed with soul and passion, which are further enhanced
by his ability to create any mood or tension through his piano playing.
Since completing high school, Anton has worked professionally on many of
the biggest music and entertainment events in Australia. Here are just a
few:
- Oct 1999: Anton appeared on the some bill as Elton
John, using Elton's grand piano.
- NYE2000: on the steps of the Sydney Opera House,
performed with The Jimmy Barnes Band to 80.000 people.
- During the Olympic celebrations of 2000, Anton made
a guest appearance with INXS.
- Musical co-ordinator of lnternational Rugby League
and Union matches.
- Assistant musical director/solo performer for the
multi-million dollar Australian musical 'Shout'.
- Anton's band was opening act for Cold Chisel, playing
at entertainment centres and football stadiums around Australia.
- Co-wrote two songs with 'Dyvinals' Marc MacEntee, whose previous hits include 'I Touch Myself' and 'Pleasure And Pain'.
Anton has recently moved to London to broaden
his musical horizons and seek out new artistic challenges.
