PIANISTS

GARY PARKES

Gary ParkesBetween 1995 and 2001 Gary Parkes took his place at the grand piano in Harrods' world-famous Georgian Restaurant. Wearing his crisp white tuxedo and a beaming smile, Gary entertained a huge daily crowd of visitors, including celebrities, dignitaries and royalty from all around the world. Playing a varied repertoire, from the classics through swing and jazz, to show and film music, from the 1920s to the '90s, Gary has become one of London's most popular and sought after pianists.

Aged seventeen, Gary became the youngest ever professional pianist to play on board a P&O Cruiseship. In 1985, he was invited to join the P&O flagship, SS Canberra as bandleader/pianist and since then has enjoyed eight world cruises with them.
Since 1990, following several exciting and hugely successful years of travelling and performing, Gary has been based in London, making his name as resident pianist at high-profile venues including the Intercontinental Hotel, London Marriott, Hilton Hotel - Park Lane, Grosvenor House Hotel, Landmark Hotel and Scott's of Mayfair.

He is also in great demand for private functions and celebrations, corporate events, parties, weddings and barmitzvahs.

Gary Parkes' reputation has been built over the years on his acclaimed natural ability and versatility as a keyboard player.

As well as playing the piano with skill, ease and panache, Gary takes a special interest in maximising the potential of today's high-technology keyboards. He is well known for the range of sounds, styles and atmospheres he can create at the keyboard to suit any celebration, any theme or occasion: from grand piano classics, through dixieland and latin american, to disco; he can bring you the sounds of a jazz trio, a string quartet and even a steelband! He can add female or male vocals, a guitar, a sax and so much more.

For all your musical whims and wishes.
