About Miriam...

"The intensity and rich allure of Kramer's performance was nothing short of spellbinding" was the Strad magazine's comment on Miriam Kramer's Wigmore Hall debut in December 1999. Miriam was born in Connecticut, USA. She began violin studies at the age of four, when her talent was recognised by the great violinist Henryk Szeryng. Later she graduated at the Eastman School of Music and moved to London to study under Yfrah Neaman at the Guildhall School, where she was awarded the top prize. Miriam has given concerto performances in the Queen Elizabeth and Barbican Halls, and made her debut at New York's Lincoln Centre in December 2000. She has broadcast on Paris Radio Classique, Classic FM and BBC Radio 3. She won a 'Record of the Month' award from Gramophone magazine for her CD of music by Bloch on the Naxos label, and also records for ASV. In 2002, Miriam has undertaken a tour of Europe playing Saint-Saens and Kreisler and returned to the Wigmore Hall and the Lincoln Centre.
