About Kit...

A fourth generation musician, Kit is equally at home playing jazz or classical music.

Kit received a first class degree from Trinity College of Music where he won several competitions and awards for improvisation and chamber music. He attended masterclasses with Gordan Nicolitch and George Pauk and represented the college in a tour of Goa, India where he performed a memorable concert under a statue of Beethoven in the middle of jungle!

After graduation, Kit played with the Philamonia de Santiago, Chile were he discovered his passion for tango and jazz violin. This music is very much present in his playing and he has since performed at the Berlin, Montreux and Cheltenham jazz festivals. He is currently working on a book of transcriptions by the jazz violin virtuoso Stephane Grappelli.

Kit's television work includes donning a large ginger wig to play the role of the young Vivaldi in a mini-documentary and hand-doubling for Rupert Everett in the BBC's adaptation of Sherlock Holmes.
