Beginning his professional life at the age of 17 strumming a guitar and singing in bars in his home city of Cardiff, Wales, Hooker progressed to playing in local bands, signing a recording deal with Sony records and touring across Europe and Canada.

Beginning his professional life at the age of 17 strumming a guitar and singing in bars in his home city of Cardiff, Wales, Hooker progressed to playing in local bands, signing a recording deal with Sony records and touring across Europe and Canada.
The next move was to become one half of a successful UK based musical/comedy duo, before accepting the position of chief compere at one of the largest UK resort style holiday centres, working with the top names in light entertainment.
Stints followed as entertainments director of a large resort on Mallorca and touring a cabaret show around Greece and Spain before returning to London and making appearances on UK television.
In the late 1990’s, whilst playing at 5 star hotels in Central Europe, Hooker discovered the piano bar circuit and spent 2 years at the well known “Jumpin Jacks” chain of UK nightclubs as part of their duelling pianos concept.
In 1999 Hooker began to play the Scandinavian, Dutch and German party piano bar circuit. Also around this time he ran a piano bar at a ski resort in the Austrian Alps, worked in the Canary Islands and on an island resort in the Indian Ocean.
More recently, Hooker has been resident “pianoman” at “City Rock Café” in the centre of Copenhagen in Denmark and currently works there most of the time, taking occasional breaks to travel and bring his particular brand of piano bar party to places in the world that have not yet experienced.
