About Da Paul...

Da Paul is a performing and recording artist who is a singer/songwriter, session musician and vocalist who has been working professionally in the music industry since 1990. DaPaul has performed in various TV promotions, showcases, recordings and tours for artists like; Gabrielle, Des'ree, Eternal, Louise, MN8, Michelle Gayle, Cleopatra, Alexander O'Neal, Jhelisa Anderson, Rhonda Thomas and Kloud 9.

DaPaul is a versatile performer with a repertoire of Pop, Jazz and Soul classics. Artists such as Elton John, The Beatles, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins and George Micheal, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Sly Stone, James Brown, Frankie Beverly and many more 'old-school' songs from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's to current pop songs have helped to shape his musical influences. His piano/vocal style is unique and versatile due to his experience of gospel music from an early age. He sings and plays his songs with life and vitality and always pleases his audience with his excellent rapport and great musical performances.

Da Paul's musical background is rooted in the Caribbean Church. He began playing piano at the age of six and has been performing since eight. In his early teens he also used to sing in ensembles and choirs whilst also playing in bands.

Since then his musical career began to flourish, being involved in various TV promotions, showcases and recording, and working with and arranging songs for such performers as GABRIELLE, ETERNAL, LOUISE, MN8, MICHELLE GAYLE, CLEOPATRA and ALEXANDER O'NEAL. He has also arranged and performed songs alongside British Gospel artistes such as BEVERLY WINT, NATHAN PRIME, TONY CLARKE, DAVE DANIELS, IDM CHOIR and VISUAL MINISTRIES CHOIR as well as appearing on the TV program MY FAVOURITE HYMN. In 1998 he worked alongside legendary Hip-Hop artiste JHELISA ANDERSON, appearing with her on two occasions, once at the 'North Sea Jazz Festival' and again at the 'Jazz Cafe'.

Da Paul is credited on the movie soundtrack album for 'Bridget Jones' Diary 2' for his work on GABRIELLE'S single 'Out Of Reach'.

Influenced by soul, jazz, pop, gospel and rare groove classics DaPaul's ecletic piano and vocal style is unique and informs his songwriting talent. DaPaul's debut album 'Soulful Spirit' is due for release in 2012/13 and is an anticipated album set to be a memorable masterpiece.
