About Corrado...

Corrado's early musical training was with his father Alvaro Amici, who is acknowledged to be one of the most famous singers of Roman folk songs of all time. His public debut was at the age of ten and formal training was at the Music Conservatoire at L'Aquila until 1988.

Due to his unique musical education, first at his father's knee and then the formal classical training, he is equally at home in the more 'serious' side of his trade - the operatic and liturgical repertoire - as well as being skilled in the performance of Neapolitan songs, Italian folk songs, Latin American music and repertoire from the stage musicals and popular songs. He is a specialist in the works of the great Italian song writer Paolo Tosti.

He is a skilled guitarist, and very much enjoys his contact with an audience. He is well aware of his appeal, both vocally and physically, using his large personality and direct happy, relaxed manner to good effect in more intimate performances.

Winner of the major competition in Spoleto, Italy 1992 he works regularly in Opera Houses in Rome, Cairo and China. Oratorio and solo work has taken him to most of the major cities in Italy as well as to Brussels, Poland, Kenya, Peking, London, Bath, Wells and Gloucester.

In previous years, his major booking was working on Crystal Cruise Lines, Serenity.
