SONUS STRING QUARTET

Formed during the St Endellion Music Festival in 2001, the members of
the Sonus String Quartet are all graduates of the Royal College of Music.
They have received coaching from the Amadeus, Allegri and Chillingirian
Quartets, and have been involved in numerous chamber festivals and competitions;
most recently the the Internationale Festival d'Art Lyrique, the Aberdeen
Music Festival and the Amadeus Quartet Course. Individually, the girls
all pursue busy free-lance careers, and have worked with many of the major
British orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Halle,
the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, English Symphony Orchestra, English
Sinfonia, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Scottish Opera. Sonus
performs regularly at weddings, corporate events and functions throughout
the UK, and is also in demand for session work. They have recently
completed a series of recordings within the pop industry, and have also
been resident
at the National Gallery.
