Playing piano from a very young age, the Edinburgh born accomplished singer and pianist Claire studied music at Strathclyde University. It was here that she recorded her first album "The Rest of the Rites". Since then she has been performing extensively throughout the UK, as well as a stint in the piano bars of New York City.
From Gershwin to Madonna, her smooth blend of old and new consists of timeless vintage classics and contemporary pop hits, giving each cover version her own personal touch. You will hear songs you know... and songs you never expected to!
Claire's distinctive style has proved popular at her residencies in The Hilton, The Millenium, The Corinthian, Metropolitan and Bluedog. She has recently moved to London to develop and expand her music career, and it is here that her sultry tones and classic covers can now be heard.
Influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Carol King and Joni Mitchell to name but a few...
