MELODY LANE
Melody Lane are an attractive husband and wife team with a unique style of vocal harmony, and multi instrumental talents. This combination has made them very successful and they have become highly regarded on the International Cabaret Scene. Roy Roy originates from Ireland and is the youngest of a family of six, of whom all are entertainers. He started in show business at the tender age of nine, singing with his three sisters, appearing on television, working in theatres and cabaret venues throughout the UK. He went on to further his musical talents by becoming proficient in guitar, clarinet, saxophone and traditional Irish Penny Whistle. Sonia Sonia began her career in theatre at the age of twelve appearing in pantomimes such as Dick Whittington, Mother Goose, Paddington Bear and various stage productions and plays. She later acquired an interest in music and went on to play the clarinet, saxophone and traditional Irish Penny Whistle. Together as Melody Lane they have worked many Summer Seasons including:-
and many other venues all over the UK. They have travelled to the Falkland Islands and the Ascension Islands entertaining the armed forces, and more recently they have been to the Canary Islands and The Gulf Of Oman. They have worked with many of Britain's top stars including:-
They have also appeared on the BBC series of "Bergerac". This stylish couple have become well respected in theatre and cabaret as a first class act winning many awards performing music from the 40's through to the present day. This ensures that Melody Lane's performances are enjoyed by audiences of all ages wherever they appear. |
