BANDS
LONDON HOT RHYTHM BOYS
The London Hot Rhythm Boys are a band of professional musicians playing Jazz from the 'golden period' (1927-1933). The bands' original arrangements are taken from the original masterpieces of Red Nicholls, Bix Beiderbecke and early Crosby etc. representing the small band jazz of that period. Lead vocals are taken by Duncan Galloway, a leading exponent of the early Crosby style. Hotter style vocals are by 'Spats' Langham. The Band was formed by drummer John (J.S) Sutton to fulfil a four week engagement on the QE2. The rehearsals were so successful that it was decided that it should become a working band.
