With over ten years experience performing internationally in jazz, blues, big band, rock, pop and country ensembles, vocalist/guitarist Cy Winstanley and bassist Vanessa McGowan have joined forces in London to create a young and exciting duo, performing jazz standards, American Songbook (Cole Porter, Gershwin, Ellington) and other fresh original and contemporary tunes.

Cy's vocals have been compared to those of Chet Baker and Sting, while also encompassing a strong, versatile sound of his own and yielding a captivating stage presence. New on the UK scene after years of touring in jazz ensembles in the United States and New Zealand, composer and bassist Vanessa brings a fresh, inventive sound to the duo and an established mastery of her instrument.

Suitable as a compelling stage performance, but equally adaptable to create a relaxed background atmosphere, the duo is expandable to trio, quartet or quintet with the addition of drums, keyboard, saxophone and other instruments upon request.

Cy and Vanessa have performed at venues such as The Royal Academy of the Arts, The Kingly Club, The Forum, Radisson Edwardian, the Vortex, Victoria and Albert Museum and many more. Their polished professionalism, pride and love for their art shines through in every performance.
