Amanda Woosley

Introduction:

Amanda is a resident of Austin and has enjoyed playing the harp for thirteen years. She has played professionally at many different venues in the Central Texas area including weddings, receptions, high tea parties, real estate open houses, Christmas parties, church events and anniversaries.

Amanda is a resident of Austin and has enjoyed playing the harp for thirteen years. She has played professionally at many different venues in the Central Texas area including weddings, receptions, high tea parties, real estate open houses, Christmas parties, church events and anniversaries.

Amanda's extensive repertoire includes classical music, pop songs, traditional & contemporary wedding music, movie themes, inspirational music, and many international styles.

In 2005, she was the winner of a national scholarship competition sponsored by Guardian Life Insurance Co. The award was given in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments as a successful young entrepreneur and founder of two businesses. She also received a scholarship from the Austin Harp Society and enjoys participating in the local chapter.

Amanda is in her third season of performing with the Austin Wind Symphony, under the direction of Patrick Phillips. The ensemble performs several concerts per year, with an exclusive repertoire of television and film scores.

In spring of 2007, Amanda had the honor of performing with Josh Groban on his Awake World Tour. She was hand-selected to be a member of the orchestra for the concerts at the Toyota Center in Houston, and the AT&T Center in San Antonio.

Amanda has recently accepted a contract with the Cunard cruise line, and will be providing entertainment on their ship the Queen Mary II from November '08 into January '09.
