Gary Parkes has been involved in the music business for 30 years, beginning by playing electric organ in the working men’s clubs of his native Yorkshire town. In the 1980’s, as the owner of two highly successful music shops dealing in pianos and organs, he became the UK’s number one retailer for Yamaha and Lowrey. Rejoining P&O in 1984, he went on to enjoy 8 years cruising the world as Bandleader/Pianist onboard a variety of their ships.

In 1990 he became involved in the London hotel and live music scene and founded his agency, GARY PARKES MUSIC LIMITED, which continues to provide entertainers for the majority of London’s five-star hotels and restaurants, including Claridge's, The Dorchester, The Savoy Fairmont Group and The Four Seasons Group, along with corporate functions and events companies and all of Harrods’ musical requirements.

The agency also supplies the world’s major cruise companies with musicians and entertainers ranging from pianist/entertainers to ten-piece bands, from classical virtuosi to headline singers from London’s West End.

With contacts established over the last decade and extensive experience as a performer, Gary strives to ensure the right entertainer is provided for the right venue and occasion.
